Cara helped us research two historic buildings. She was easy to work with and took the time to not only produce a great report but to get us really excited about her process and findings. We enjoyed the buildings all the more and felt all the more part of their really cool history. We have used and shared the information, such as a handwritten lease from the 1870s, the unbroken chain of deeds from the initial land grant to us,and many of the former people and businesses that called this home, many times.. Her enthusiasm for her work is contagious. We've referred her to many others who are equally happy with what she did for them. I recommend her HIGHLY.

Cara researched the history of our house after another, local well-known house history researcher had failed. Supposedly the records for our house were lost--had been burned--whatever. Cara found work arounds and presented us with a fully documented history of our home ca 1897
“Cara is an outstanding historical researcher who goes the extra mile to dig up amazing facts, and creates a fascinating and compelling historic narrative. Highly recommended.”
It's so much fun to read the details of the house histories you do for us! When we renovate a historic building, an awareness of past uses of the property adds a lot of fun to the project. Details of former residents give a lot of insight into how our neighborhood came to be and what was going on in St. Louis at the time. Thanks for your work - it's well worth it!
